Auto dismantlers and scrap dealers understand that even a small amount of contaminated fuel can spoil an entire storage tank of good-quality fuel. That’s why being able to see the fuel as it is being extracted is so important.
Iris-Mec’s fuel drills come equipped with a sight glass, so that you can see the state of fuel as you drill. This feature is great for newer vehicles, where it’s less likely that the fuel being extracted will be bad quality. With older vehicles, it’s more likely that there will be some contamination and viewing the fuel through the sight glass in the fuel drill might not give you enough time to properly evaluate it.
To address this problem Iris-Mec offers the PFT-Visual, the safest and most efficient system for extracting fuel from ELVs. The PFT-Visual is equipped with a large glass reservoir that allows you to see a much larger quantity of fuel while it’s being extracted. This lets you see more of the fuel as it is being extracted and gives you more time to evaluate it as the reservoir fills, so that you can decide whether to divert it to the good or bad gas tank. The PFT-Visual is available for gas and Diesel extraction.
Iris-Mec recently added the same visual components to their popular ISQ and IBQ vehicle depollution systems. This option adds to the versatility of the systems by allowing the operator to see the fuel while it’s being extracted, so that it can be diverted to either good or bad fuel tanks.
If you already have an ISQ or IBQ, you can add the visual component as a module, increasing the versatility of your system.
If you’d like to learn more about the ISQ or IBQ featuring the visual component or if you already have a system and would like to add the visual option, please call us at 866-496-4955.
